St. John's 2010's M.A. Boles and Catherine Franklin arrive ready to win at the next level.
M.A. Boles ('10) and Catherine Franklin ('10) are continuing their winning ways at the NCAA level. Impact players while at St. John's (2 SPC and 2 State titles in volleyball, field hockey and lacrosse), M.A. and Catherine are now impossible to hide on the collegiate theater.
Boles jumped to center stage by being named tournament mvp in each of the the W&L Generals' weekend tourney routes this year. Mary Ashley recently led the team(10-1) in kills (15) over Marietta last weekend. "My volleyball experience has been amazing so far," said Boles.
Franklin, no longer a secret weapon for the Northwestern Wildcats, was named Big Ten Freshman Player of the Week. In her first collegiate game on August 20th Franklin sneaked off the bench to score against unranked Iowa. Now teams are more aware when #17 enters the field. Last Friday Catherine put the 'Cats ahead of #6 Ohio State as time expired in the first half. Northwestern went on to win the Big Ten opener which was played in Columbus.
