MAVERICK MONDAY MAKE: 4-5A FEAST FOR BOYS' BASKETBALL

Boys' Varsity Basketball feasted on the big birds this Thanksgiving.
Boys' Varsity Basketball spent most of the Thanksgiving holiday week hunting larger prey.  The SPC Scarlet and Black Mavericks went "outside the paint" on the road to find out what the big boys had on the platter.   On Tuesday the Mavericks led the 5A Westside High Wolves for 31 minutes and 46 seconds, until the home team hit a three which held up for a one point victory.

Tuesday's crumbs were picked clean as St. John's left nothing on the table against 4A North Forest and Austin LBJ over the weekend at Strake Jesuit.  The Mavs finished off the Bulldogs on Friday 65-60 and then the Jaguars 60-57 on Saturday.

St. John's heads west again on Tuesday to Kinkaid, to take on a prey a little closer to home.
