Alumni Architects Exhibit

SJS Alumni Architects Exhibit: August 22 - September 14, Glassell Gallery
Evening Reception: Wednesday, September 5, at 5 p.m.

For the third year, the St. John’s Visual Arts program has offered an ongoing series of exhibits in the Clare Attwell Glassell Gallery that spotlights SJS alumni who have continued to practice the creative arts. This year’s exhibit highlights the important role that St. John’s alumni architects and designers have had in the world beyond the Storied Cloisters.

With models, plans, photography, and film, the show tracks the career work of each alum architect. Many of them caught the design bug through their experiences in art studios at St. John’s, including a few alums of Mr. Dan Havel’s studio and architecture courses. Whether it is designing homes, creating worship spaces, designing racetracks, drawing plans for international art museums or filming the human stories behind the housing crisis, these St. John’s alums continue to share their creative ideas about the role of architecture and design in our world.

Please join us for an evening reception honoring the artists on Wednesday, September 5, in the Clare Attwell Glassell Gallery from 5:00-7:00pm, located on the North Campus in the Campus Center.
