Jennifer Kuhl is awarded the Thomas Aczel Award for Outstanding High School Chemistry Teaching
The Thomas Aczel Award is presented by the American Chemical Society to one Houston area teacher each year in recognition of meritorious performance in the teaching of chemistry in a high school. Mrs. Kuhl teaches chemistry and mentors students in the Science Research and Design course.

St. John’s Middle School Latin Students Win
A large contingency of St. John’s Middle School Latin students traveled to Atascocita High School over the April 11th-12th weekend to attend the Texas State Junior Classical League Convention. The Middle School Mavericks brought home the 1st place middle school sweepstakes trophy for the third year in a row for a remarkable three-peat.
Ángela Prendes Awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities
St. John’s faculty member Ángela Prendes has been awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities to participate in a five-week seminar in Madrid, Spain, this coming summer 2008. The seminar, entitled "Authors in the Prado: Spanish Painting and The Literature it Inspired", will take place in a classroom located in the heart of Carlos III eighteenth century botanical gardens—on the doorstep of the Prado Museum.
