Upper School

Theatre

From the opening of the curtain to the final rousing ovation, performing in the newly-built Virginia Stuller Tatham Fine Arts Center—including the 120-seat Studio Theater and 650—seat Lowe Theater-is a wonderful experience that students will cherish throughout their lives. Not only does our theater program teach students the finer points of developing characters, vocal enunciation and positioning, but it also helps them build the confidence to command the stage.

In addition, St. John's has an active International Thespian Society Troupe. Upper School students earn points towards this prestigious membership, which they attain by contributing over 100 hours of service. Students may also join Johnnycake, the oldest, continuous service organization at St. John's. Open to all Upper School students, Johnnycake provides opportunities in all aspects of theatrical production from technical crew to performance.

Check our arts calendar often to make sure you don't miss any upcoming shows.
